We had to fit this Nightlatch to an aluminium door for Insurance Purposes. Firstly it is not usual to fit these locks to aluminium doors. Secondly the metal section is hollow and the lock has to be let in to the side of the door. We overcame the problem – carefully removing a piece of the door so the new lock sat nicely. Pieces of wood were then cut to size. After coating in expanding glue and inserting in the door the lock was ready for fitting. Thus allowing all the screws to go into wood rather than just thin aluminium. Fitting the keep to the frame was relatively easy!!! Result? Another happy homeowner!!!

An alternative to Enfield Bolts is the → Garage Defender. Obviously a great visual deterrent. It bolts into the concrete pad. To lock, the ‘T’ bar is put in place and a padlock stops removal. It is now impossible to open the garage door more than a few inches. These are all extra security measures used in addition to the standard garage door lock/handle.

← These locking bolts undoubtedly increase garage security. They attach firmly to the door, with the bolts moving deeply into their holes in the frame. We supply and fit these in pairs, one on each side of the door.
